Hi, my name is Hurricane and my middle name is Lightening because I am fast and I have a little orange lightening bolt on my forehead.

I was found walking around in Oakland County when some nice people brought me to a warm place with food and water. They didn’t know that I was keeping secret though....until one morning when they came to feed me and saw that I had three kittens overnight! That’s when the nice lady called Foster Mom came to get us and take us to her house. Then that nice lady told me someone found a baby kitten in a bag of mulch at Home Depot and that he needed a mom and asked if I would be his mom! He was so tiny and hungry and I made sure to take very good care of him.  Eventually my kittens were big enough to be adopted and they all found great homes. I still live with Foster Mom and my mulch kitten that she adopted. 

There are some things that are important for you to know about me.

​ The first thing is that I hate peas. I will not eat them no matter how well you hide them in my food.

Second, is that I am very shy. At first the humans thought I was feral, but Foster Mom soon realized they were wrong. They think I was abandoned by my old family once I wasn’t a kitten anymore and they put me outside where I didn’t feel safe, so I am just a little hesitant at first when I meet new people.  Right now  I don’t like to be touched, but that might change once I get even more comfortable with people. I do like to share the bed with my human at night but when she wakes up I will run so she doesn’t know that I’m trying to be cuddly.  

Finally, you must know that I LOVE cheese and crackers and will totally get in the chair with you if you share and sometimes I stay a while. Foster Mom says only one cracker per day so I stay healthy but sometimes I sneak more when she isn’t looking. Other times I send my kitten to go sneak ‘em for me. I really like sitting on human feet because they are warm.

I love other cats and am the peacekeeper in my foster home, so I need to live with a family who will make sure I have at least one sibling. When I first meet doggos I like to hide, but really they’re just big cats who bork, so as long as they are friendly, eventually I will hang out with them.
