Description:

Hi everyone!

My name is Aria and as you can see, I am a very beautiful Snowshoe/Siamese girl.  I have quite the past so please take the time to read my bio before you decide that we are meant for each other.  I was born outside.  I found my way to a storage unit and liked to hang around there with another pretty Snowshoe/Siamese in foster care with me (her name is Aleyah and she is also up for adoption - but we think it would be best that we not be adopted together - we are not in the same room in our foster home so that we can improve with people).  Someone decided they didn't like us kitties around their storage unit so they asked someone to come deal with us.  An offer was made by someone that they would be happy to drown Aleyah and I.  A really nice lady saw this post and decided that would not be happening so she rushed to us, caught us and contacted The Kitten Nursery.  My foster mom saw the message and panicked.  She was just sick at the thought that someone would even consider doing something like that to any kitten. Anyway!  My foster mom decided that she would give us a chance… so that is how we ended up here.  We must say, we are pretty happy to be safe and warm inside.

But here's the thing… I was considered feral.  And even though I am improving daily, I could still be classified as feral or semi-feral.  I am definitely adjusting to life indoors.  I am not exactly like your average kitty born indoors because I do get a bit scared sometimes.  Here's the thing… while I have let my fosters pet me a few times, I am still learning to love it.  I rub against them while they pet me but after a few minutes, I will run.  Like I said, I am improving daily and my foster mom can see that I really want to let her pet me but something holds me back sometimes.  I am 5 months old and grew up without humans, so I am still trying to learn that people aren't going to hurt me.  I roll over to show my belly when humans are in my room and I purr and purr and purr.

My foster mom is putting me up for adoption for a couple different reasons… one, because it will take a very special person to adopt me, so we don't expect to find that person right away. But also because, if we do find that amazing person, we want them to be able to take me home and bond with me through this critical stage.  Of course my foster family is going to continue working with me and I am safe here until my forever humans find me, but wouldn't it be awesome if the my forever person could work with me through this process so I can bond with them?

Another thing about me is that I absolutely LOVE other cats.  Every single cat I have met, I adore.  My foster mom lets her male kitty come into my room and I just love to rub against him and he helped teach me that humans aren't going to hurt me whenever they are around.  So I think I need to find a new home with a friendly cat that will help show me the ropes and will boost my confidence so I can hang out in the entire house.

I am litter box trained. I never have accidents. I also use scratching posts and love kitty beds.

Because of my past, I am going to need someone that is going to give me time.  I am only 5 months old, and because of my breed, I will probably stay a small cat. I am already spayed.

So what do you think?  Would you consider giving me a chance?  I will need time and lots of love, my love will have to be earned by you showing me that you aren't going to hurt me and that I have a forever home.

I cannot be adopted to a home with kids because at this point, they would likely scare me a lot to the point where I wouldn't come out from hiding.

I hope to meet you soon and I hope you take a lot of time to think about if maybe I am the right addition to your home!  If you would like to learn more about me, please email my foster mom at kelli.grazi@yahoo.com and she would be happy to answer your questions.  Thanks for reading about me.

Love,

Aria
